I usually wear a small regular for structured, fitted looks like this coat. The sales lady felt the petite was right for me, not the regular. She's no doubt right. The coat's just the tiniest too wide in the shoulders, so a regular would prob be bad in me.
It looks really good on you! It would seem do-able for your climate but maybe in the warmer months? What ways would you use it with your outfits? To me that's the question. If you have the right occasions, it does add a sharp, bold look.

You look smashing in this coat! If I remember right, you run cold -- even wearing puffers in the bay area. This coat has elegance along with vibrant color.
