I had to do some early online shopping for summer work clothes, because we now all know that the small sizes are gone first!

Pix 1-3 are of the Ann Taylor Petite Modern Resist Print Crossover Dress. Is this really a petite? It is cut more like a 4 regular. The waist is about 3" too low, there's too much fabric at the top and the v neck is so super low, I had to put a cami underneath. It's a shame because the print is nice and the fabric is substantial silk/spandex/rayon mix.

Pix 4-6 is the Petite Timeless Floral Print Sheath. The fabric is a heavy cotton spandex, not too delicate or soft, a perfect weight for summer. This one is a keeper. I am doing a series of 10 presentations to very large groups this summer and I think this is going to be my uniform. Suits are out for a number of reasons. It is 100 degrees here in the summer. Also, I have to look like I am the authority in the field, but also friendly and approachable to an audience ranging in age from 17-50.

Pix 7-9 are the Petite Shawl Collar Jacket. I had to order it in a 6P because they were already sold out of the 4P. Chest is in the wrong place and the color is, well, soul-sucking. Also, even though the fabric is cotton spandex, it looks and feels more like linen, not what I'm going for.
