At Goodwill, does this work?

I found this Calvin Klein dress at goodwill. Does it work for me? I think it could be a great professional dress if it does. The top needs to be ironed and a few interior buttons need to be redeem, but that's it.

Not a fan of the color, and I could be totally off base here, but the style looks a bit dated to my eye.

Probably too late here, but I like the fit and shape very much. The color is hard to tell --- Goodwill isn't know for photography friendly lighting! I would guess that the color would work well if you layered under the dress with a blouse or long sleeved tee, or topped it off with a jacket in a favorite shade.

The structure of the piece makes me think classic, not dated.

Thanks ladies. It did come home with me, because I think it's dye-able. If it's not (I'll check before I start), I've got a friend it would look great on and I'll pass it on to her.

I've read some comments around frowning on beige... I agree that beige isn't the liveliest colour around and it can be difficult to wear... but in this dress... I do simpathize with it. Plus I believe the classic shape of the dress (I like the collar/decolette shape in particular) makes it worth taking home. I am glad you chose to do so.

Style it with bright accessories and let us see it again bf you dye it or pass it on!

I like the shape of it and I don't mind the colour either. It's great for the summer especially if you have a bit of a tan.

I think it has potential with the right accessories, Kristen. (I say this as someone who just posted a dress almost exactly like this one in color and cut!) A lot of YLFers don't like khaki/beige, but I think it has its place. And some of us actually look ok in it.

I think it looks great. It fits really well, and I don't think it is really possible to tell how the colour looks on you given the lighting, but even if it were not the more exciting colour you could easily add colour in the accessories. I'd keep it if I were you. In fact, I have a Calvin Klein dress that looks quite similar and I have had many compliments about it. Wish I'd found mine at Goodwill!
