Asymmetrical top

The recent thread by @suz re: skirts vs. pant/short lengths is so timely and relevant for today's question about my asymmetrical shirt.

Is the shirt too long on my frame? Does it look okay with Bermuda short length(#1) shorter length shorts (#2) or give up on the shorts?! Is the skirt a better pairing (#3) Or should I alter the shirt to create a shorter, even hem?

So cool with the skirt! I am not a fan of white colored bottoms so I will refrain from commenting on looks 1 and 2.

I like both 1 and 3. 2 seems a tad too short to balance the top to me.

@Angie--it does stay in place. I wore it all day with the long shorts for my w@home day.

@modgrl- My cousin who is under 40 and lives in the Mid Atlantic told me "only old women wear white shorts and jeans!!!" As a 40+, I was so self conscious, I refrained from white jeans and shorts the next year until I figured out it must be a regional thing. Along the southern coast, women of all ages seem to wear white bottoms.

Thank you for the encouragement, all. I can't believe I showed my legs online : )

hmm, I've never heard white bottoms being associated with old ladies.. I think they look great and I love the top!

Wow, that cousin just lets it all hang out, doesn't she :)? Geez. I think you look fab in each of these, especially 1 and 3 (2 is perfectly fine, just doesn't look quite as excellent as the other two, IMHO). Is this your first time posting a pic here? Yay and congrats if it is!

I'm late here but chiming in to say I love this top and I want one! You have a great shape for it and it really shows your lovely figure. I think it's good in all the pics. I especially love it with the skirt in 3.

@alaskagirl- I am going to have to keep that in my back pocket. Very good advice. I wish I could have had a witty comeback for all the mean things some of my relatives have said, but I usually just sit there stunned.

This is my second WIW. I changed my screenname from lkf to briar which is easier for me to remember. You will see a pencil skirt theme emerging.....
