ASOS has an interesting new feature. You enter your height and weight, and they tell you how many people like you bought a certain size and didn't return it.

I was looking for 'navy embellished dresses.'

Interesting. My DD is close to my height and weight but she is very IT and I am the opposite. That means she would take a size larger on that dress than I.

I was using this a few days ago for the first time, and thought it was interesting. Another thing that will come into play is whether a person is relatively more or less muscular, as muscle weighs a good bit more.

A Brazilian store has a similar feature. It works reasonably well for some friends of mine with "average structure" - those who don't have problems figuring what size to choose because all their parts are "the same size". If you have any unusual measurements/features, it doesn't help at all

Interesting. I'll have to check it out.

I wish that retailers would simply post measurements for each item on the website. It seems like that would be the best way to ensure that you get the correct size.

Where else did I see that? And it also asked for age and for bust/band size. I think must be helpful...but I also wish that every retailer would post garment measurements because garment measurements answer questions that I would have about ease and preferred fit.

The information on garment measurements has to exist! It can't be that hard to get!

....You know what I like to do at the bakery? I like to go into the system and add up all the order numbers. Then I like to go up to people and ask them what's coming down the line, listen to them say they can't predict, then whip out my paper! Ahahahahaha!

I just tried it for fun on a pair of pants It said that 50% of customers kept size 10 (UK) and another 50% size 12. Very useful

Uhhh....lol... Anchie, I think that info will be useful for the buyers and designers... I think we can call that 'a fail' (or in crude terms: 'totally random crapshoot').
