Santa is very sneaky! When the purse I'd been considering for a long time finally went on sale enough that I could maybe afford it, the import duties took the price right back up again. Then it sold out. Sad me. Family members I asked to help were frustratingly unresponsive. Then it turned out Santa is a time traveler and got not only the sold out purse, but also a favorite lipstick I thought hadn't been made for years (on my wishlist was "find a similar shade") And look at what the clever old elf wrote on the dust cover. Ha! and ho ho ho!

So now I have this awesome backpack/purse Yay! I want to take care of it, but as more of a work horse than a pet. I've carried it nearly every day since unwrapping it, starting that same afternoon. I came home that day, started heading towards the hooks where I hang my bags, and stopped. Is that good enough for a bag of this quality? Should I use the dust cover?

So, people who carry designer bags--actually carry them on a regular basis--what do you do with them at night? Do you unpack them? Every day? I assume they don't sleep on a hook, but do they need to be tucked into the dust cover when you know you'll be taking them right out again the next day? So far I have not unpacked it, but when I picked up ground beef on my way home, I made sure it was securely wrapped, including a layer of plastic, and that . It has not been on the hooks; it's resided on a little ledge just underneath them. So far I haven't seen anything that needs to be cleaned.

What advice do you have for me?
