I know a very chic Italian design company Re-Set per Spina. (knitwear re-designed with a creative twist by Spina is the logic behind the off-beat brand-name). I've got a few of their pieces. Mostly knitwear or jersey, but always with a funky elegance: very Italian. My favourite set from Spina is a long sleeveless tunic-sweater in light grey at the slashed neck, proceeding through flannel grey, charcoal and finally black at the mid-thigh hem, all in very broad stripes (colour blocks). It comes with it's own long sleeve solid black slash neck fine-cotton-with-a-dash of lycra tee to wear under the tunic. Uber-chic!!! (I wear the combo with black leggings inside knee-high stretchy suede black stiletto-heeled boots.)
They're based in Milan, but have a small in-store boutique in Les Galleries Lafayette here in Paris, which is where I buy mine. Tell you what, I'll ring them, and try to find out more, cos I'm pretty certain they're the people you're looking for. I'll also ask whether Galleries Lafayette export from their specialty-boutique-within-store ranges. I have a feeling they do. Maybe I can even get a catalogue for you. Nice to find someone else who knows about them, and loves them. There aren't many of us, as yet, which, for me, appeals to my elitist inner 'fashion-snob'. You see, you've made me admit to a guilty secret about myself!
