would you be able to give your opinions on 'The American Woman' exhibit at The Met when it opens on Monday? Have you been involved in the project?

The exhibition looks amazing.

Well not the exhibit itself obviously, but I did work on a 2011 calendar based on the show that already seems to be back-ordered.

I'm surprised it opens on Monday though. The museum is closed to the public on Monday. Now I'm wishing I didn't have work so I could go on the staff-only day! In all honesty it is probably the first exhibit here that I have been really excited about since starting. I will be there next on Tuesday and Wednesday and may just pop in over my break.

You are of course right Maya, the stars are attending an opening on Monday (Anna Wintour will be there) so I will check out the telegraph to see what they are wearing on Tuesday. I may just have to order a copy of that calender, this year I have a calender my husband printed (Golf Courses in the Scottish Borders) LOL.

I hope you do get a chance to look around on Tuesday.

They used to allow staff to attend the Costume Institute gala events, but no more

I suppose that's for the best since I'd be in a mad panic to find something to wear...

Anna Wintour is always at these events. I think she has set some sort of record for the amount she has donated to the CI. Sadly due to the new rules I will not get to see her bad haircut in person (I know the fashion industry will loathe me for that, but I really hate her hair...).
