Ask Greg - Site wonky tonight

Every time I refresh the page, the Nordstrom site flashes up for a second. Also having trouble editing my post within the dialogue box. Also scrolling is off.

Using Safari 5.1.2 on a Mac running OS X 10.6.8

Hi Anna,

That is really strange. While we have linked to Nordstrom from YLF, it is odd that their site flashes when you load YLF. Not to mention the other problems.

Angie and I have the same setup, but we're not seeing any of these issues. And we haven't deployed any changes recently. So I'm at a bit of a loss.

It is possible that Safari may be in a strange state. Have you tried shutting it down completely and restarting?

Is anyone else seeing symptoms like these?

One more thing. Is it a specific page where you see the strange refreshing behaviour, or is it all pages on YLF.

I won't be able to test it again till I get home. It was only YLF that was acting strange.

I noticed that when I clicked links in Forum posts that sometimes it took me to a separate page (although still on YLF), and sometimes popped up on the page as per the norm. Actually, Anna, your posts did that. Weird.

ironkurtin, do you mean picture links?

If so, then I understand what is going on in your case. The module that displays pictures in a popup takes a second to load. If you are fast and click a link before it loads, then the picture will be displayed on a separate page.
