Is pattern and color mixing still "In"? I love to mix pattern and color I have literally an emotional reaction when I wear it or when I see it being done. Which is not very often so, I would like to see if you do it, like it, or have a poison eye to it? Oh I'm not talking subtle but, "Extreme Pattern & Color". Mixing.

The way I see it, whatever makes YOU happy and feels like you, it is IN. Personal style is what you project from inside out and if something makes you happy, then go for it by all means.

I know what you mean about emotional reaction to some things, I am the same when it comes to the colours that speak to me, whether it's the colours I wear on a specific day or what I see on someone else (who may be complete opposite to me, yesterday I saw gorgeous red-hared lady dressed in shades of grey - all very low-contrast, quiet, something that would wash me out, but it was so wonderful on her - and I could not stop staring at her). I literally feel my energy levels rise when I see the right colours. It may be what we call is some instances "column of colour" or "colour blocking" in other or something else, but to me it basically comes down to - emotional reaction. Thanks for putting it into words for me

Trust me...pattern and color mixing is definitely still "in"...Hey, I would have been the first one who received the call if if was no longer appropo...
Seriously, this is such a great look and such fun to just "break the rules' when you mix stripes and polka dots...orange and pink...until I almost feel this is one of those will be here for a long time...
I am so glad you included the emotional side of fashion...Sometimes it just gives us the needed boost to wear these things...and if I remember correctly, you dear lady, do it very, very well...

It is definitely still in, yes. In some cases it can feel overwhelming to me but I very much like the examples you have given above, and I would wear at least number 4.

Definitely pattern mix if you love it -- it makes for some very vibrant outfits!

If you wear it it is in. Seriously I go with my instincts at some point - I figure I spend enough time reading about and looking at fashion to prime my brain, and if something still looks good to me I wear it.

I don't do it but I love it. I always have. When I see it, "cool" "fun" "adventurous" "original" come to mind. Great images you have linked.

Ornella -I have had the same reaction from time to time staring at someone outfit being entranced. I have actually learned to compliment people whom I consider dapper. And you are so welcome.

Crutcher- Pattern and color mixing sister even if it is out of fashion I will be mixing until the end of days.

MovingFashionForward-Browing from Angie I think pattern and color mixinging call fall in between the range of maximal or minimum.

Shevia-The inner voice is always a good go to.

I agree with Ornella. Whatever makes YOU happy is in. I feel very strongly about this.

Yet, I voted nay because I felt the question was broader in context. I personally never felt that pattern mixing was "in" in real life. Sure, I saw it in magazines and the internet, but I rarely saw it in public. On the rare occasions when I did see it, it looked wrong. I think pattern mixing is really tricky and hard to pull off.

That said, if you LOVE it, then it is YOU. I encourage you to continue to dress to make yourself happy. Everything follows from there.

Yes. Pattern mixing is absolutely still on trend. It's just not the top trend like it was two years ago.
