Ask Angie/others: Cambio denim, Staples USA denim, & bulky scarves ?

I have bought a couple of Nordstrom Rack denim items that seem to fit me well, but I have no experience with the brand to know stretch out problems.

1. Cambio Basic black denim Norah jeans. Wonderful stretchy fabric, nice higher rise, slight bootcut. Anyone else know about this brand?

2. Staples USA jeggings. They were in black and indigo. I got indigo. Quite high rise, no pockets (more leggings-ish), side zip.

Bonus question: what do you do when you get a scarf with some bulk? I found a rectangular Lucky Brand 50%wool/50% viscose in rich fall colors. I love the deep, rich colors and paisley type pattern, but it seems I could only wear it with a coat in winter. Any other ways work for any of you?

Do you mean Cambio? I had a pair of red denim Cambio jeans several years ago--I think they were the Jade style. Oprah was really big on the brand and recommended it, so I tried it. I remember that they fit well and were comfortable, but when I saw myself in a photo I realized they were a bit too short for me, so didn't buy more. I don't see them on the Nordstrom brand list. NM used to sell them too, but I don't see them on that site either.

I don't remember them stretching out much. They were good quality.

can't comment on the cambio or staples usa.

re the scarf, depends on how much bulk. i wear such scarves wrapped around my neck twice over some slim shirt and bottoms. so skinnys, boots or heels, fitted slim shirt/thin knit then wrap around my neck. will also try wearing with a new sweater dress that i got, again with boots or heels.

as with anything, i focus on the contrast between the shapes.

Thanks, MsMaven, for your voice of experience. I'm glad to hear they weren't big stretchers!

They were considered 'Bridge' wear and were on the the racks of clothing from the Nordstrom's store, but when I searched online, all hits were from previous seasons.

bj - thanks for the ideas. I will have to try those and may post some pics if they seem to work. This particular scarf has enough bulk to totally eclipse a regular collar, so I may need to try with turtleneck or crewneck, etc.

try vee necks too. i find turtles and crews too stifling and not as flattering to my chest. that way you can take the scarf off and still look fab.

I wear VERY bulky scarves with my Winter coats! I LOVE bulky scarves! They are the only kind that keep you warm. Try it tied loosely with your leather jacket collection, Sara.
