Angie (or anyone else!) - have you seen the Theory "Testra" ankle trousers that are on sale at NAS?

I bought this jacket -

but I didn't realize at the time that there were trousers that go with it. I am planning to wear the jacket over pretty much everything this fall, but I am wondering about the quality of the trousers and if it would be wise to purchase them also - just to have a complete "set." I don't ever wear suits (don't have a need to) - but still, I can't help but wonder if I should take advantage of the sale. I haven't seen the trousers in person - has anybody? I'm assuming they aren't lined. Any info you can give me is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Description says pants are unlined.

I'd consider getting them on sale, and seeing if they fit & flatter.

Oh - I just fixed the link - you can see the Lanai now. Yes Suz - its the Lanai - and in "our" color - navy blue with a real subtle pinstripe. I had been eyeing the Lanais forever and when I saw this one on sale I jumped on it immediately! I will wear this jacket over all of my jeans (which is what I wear most of the time) - plus my baggy slouchy pants. I am planning on it being a workhorse - but like Angie's blog post said this morning, you never know!

Cinnamon Fern - the only reason I would consider them is because they are the same navy-blue pinstripe as the jacket - and, they are on sale. Hmmm . . . maybe I just have sale goggles on right now - they are a funky length, aren't they?

I have not seen these but I notice the description says they are unlined wool. Is wool a problem for you? (I itch with too much wool)

I'm pretty sure I've seen these in person. I think Patience tried them on with the jacket. They are not lined. We couldn't really get the "crotch whiskering" effect to go away, even by sizing up, but that might not be an issue for you. They are extremely "straight fitting" around the hips, if that makes sense (but most Theory pants are). I'd say the quality is fine, except for the lack of lining. The wool was smooth. If you have the jacket, then you'll know what the fabric is like.

I don't know. If you never wear suits, it's probably not worth it. On the other hand, you could always order them while they're on sale and see if they work for you and you love them. If they don't, take them back.

ETA: I like the way they have the jacket styled with the shirt and denim in the product photo best. If you really wanted to wear this jacket to a dressier occasion, you could layer it over a sheath dress in a complimentary color (cream, caramel, for instance), or full length trousers, kind of like a sport coat. J. Crew sells decent wool pants in a variety of solid colors that might work.
