Hola, Angie. I have another Bernardo jacket that I love. Does this seem likely to be a good match for me (apple, busty, etc)? I think so but not positive. I love the color. Suede, but I'd have to be careful and protect it, etc. Thanks! xoxo
Oh, that color. . .I'm on a shopping fast (diet?) but I used Nordstrom Notes. Does that count? 53% off and FOMO caused me to pull the trigger. I'm not hopeful that it will fit me since I'm a true Petite not on the cusp, so I hope I can enjoy it vicariously through you. The sleeves look easy to shorten.
Jacket just arrived this evening. My other Bernardo jacket is a petite large and fits very well. This one was a regular large and didn't remotely fit; go figure. It's nice suede, not as sturdy as the other jacket but for its sale price a good buy. The color wasn't quite as bright as it appears in the photo, but it's nice. I didn't even look to see whether the collar would work for me.
The jacket did not fit me either. It was too tight through the arms and felt confining. Sold out online, but I did not like it enough to go to a store and have a SA call around for a size up.
You're right, Angie, but the problem is still that with this Large, I couldn't come close to closing it. And the other same-brand jacket I have fits perfectly fine in a Petite Large. So I just don't get it. Anyway, next!
Oh, that is so frustrating! I hate when designers change their fits. I was really annoyed with IRO -- my blue leather jacket is such a great fit, but a couple of years later they changed their fits so that everything is cut smaller and tight in the sleeves. Who are all of these tiny, skinny-armed people they are designing for??
I feel your pain, Mochi. It's a nuisance to be restricted to petite sizes, but for jackets with any shape, I find it to be a necessity. Otherwise, the shoulders look sloppy, and the waistline hits me at the hip--a most unflattering look!
