Ask Angie: which booties? ETA: order placed ETTA: got them today - pics tomorrow!

I have been looking for black booties for some time now without much success.
Today I tried on those Blondo booties and they are comfy. They are no almond toe though.
I also found these Vaneli booties which are almond toe but they are sold out in black in my size. The only ones available are in cognac.
So I am torn which ones would work better for me - black Blondos which are round toe or almond toe Vaneli which are not black but cognac.

ETA: thanks to your feedback I have ordered Vaneli booties in brown from Nordstrom. With my notes from NAS they came to cost me $10!:-) fingers crossed they fit in wide width.

I also ordered Tarrago dye in Midnight (hope it is as close to ink blue as possible) in case brown color does not work for me. In this case I would be asking for lessons from our DIY dye experts Rae and Claire.

ETTA: drove over the border today to pick the booties and so far they seem a good fit! Pictures to be posted tomorrow - just wanted to share.

Not Angie but offering an unsolicited opinion (as well as a bump)*: I do love the Vaneli booties more but think the color would be the more important of the two factors.

*(Obviously, not that kind.)

I don't mind the round toe on the Blondos, Sveta, but have a slight preference for the Vanelis because they look more refined. But, like Denise, I understand that the colour may be the most important factor.

Thank you, ladies. I woke up today with a though that maybe I can get Vaneli booties AND dye them black or even ink blue?
It may be a moot point anyway because I tried Vaneli in the store today and they were pinching my toes a bit in regular width. I have found them in Wide at Nordstrom website but they maybe still to pinchy...
Looks like I should maybe get them and see...

Glory, this is a good advice but my size has such a limited supply especially in fashion forward styles that it is not practical.
Vaneli seems the preferred style - and I liked them too. I really considering getting the brown and dying them black or navy...
griffin, thanks but they do not have W width in my size. I have tried on the regular width and my toes were pinched. Nordstrom was the only place I found them in my size and W - but brown only.
Marianna, thanks for SE tip. I have two pairs and they are a bit pinching my toes on the side even though there is plenty of length. I guess this could be my backup if everything else fails.

Sveta, both Amazon.com and zappos has them in many sizes in black. If you don't have a cross border location and want to send them to Pembina, I can pick them up and mail them to you. The duty would includ 13% tax for MB though. PM me if you are interested.

Wow so impressed with the $10. I have fear of dye so I am hoping the brown works out. Very beautiful boots.
