The invitation has no dress code but the groom will be wearing an old tweed jacket with no tie & chinos. I think the Mumford & sons style is big in the UK. He is my husband's nephew who I haven't met so it isn't easy to ask the bride. I would have to ask DH to ask his sister to ask her son to ask the bride what she is wearing. I'm also concerned about what colour the bridesmaids & MOB & MOG are wearing so I will try. I should avoid the same colour right? I know to avoid white & black. I know people wear black here in the US these days but I think the UK is more traditional, still wearing hats, though not mandatory. Even if the couple are not traditional I don't want to offend older relatives. I will be meeting my in laws for the first time & as a family member will be in a lot of photos.

MOG said they are going for a music festival vibe. It is still a wedding though so I don't want to be too casual.

It was mentioned to bring wellies & an umbrella as it rains in the Summer. Have you seen pics of Glastonbury & Isle of Wight festivals with all the mud? They want their wedding to be like that. I will buy short wellies to weigh less in luggage. I own a red raincoat which doesn't match this dress but could work if I buy a different dress. I also need regular shoes for registry office & before the rain or if it doesn't rain, so I'm thinking a wedge. Do thick heels sink in grass or only stilettos? What about kitten heeled shoes?

What do you think of this dress? I could buy a convertible bra to avoid straps showing. I don't think the taupe shoes or jacket look good with it. I think as the peach looks nude against my skin I may need a darker or brighter shoe. Do you have any shoe colour ideas? What is a good topper? Should I have a trench and a jacket or just let the trench be my jacket, rain or shine? Purse & topper colour? Sorry for all the questions but I think it is important. I don't want to ruin their wedding family photos.
