Ask Angie: Unusual size scarf help!

Dearest Angie and YLF Angels,

Thanks to all of you I've stated clearing the closet clutter. I can't tell you how much I appreciate all of you!

Help! I found the most beautiful Fendi scarf purchased while visiting Milan 20 years ago. The scarf is a work of art that's been hiding in my closet. The fabric is 75% wool and 25% silk, and very large, 54 x 55 plus a 1/4 inch fringe all around.

I've only worn this folded in a triangle and used as an evening wrap...I just can't seem to find additional ways of using this so it sits. The "Angie" knot seems to be too full for this fabric and size....please, please help me. I want to incorporate this into a travel scarf but it must serve a greater purpose than one use.

Any suggestions from you wonderful women?

Hi Pat, I'm thinking of two different ways you could wear this - in the ascot wrap and a messy wrap with the ends tucked in. Both are shown here (with additional links):

She refers to the messy wrap as the Orchid Grey wrap.

Thanks for the encouragement Angie!! It's a very large scarf and I am on the petite side which makes it all the more difficult. As a last resort, my daughter suggested taking a few inches off two sides which may reduce some of the bulk...Yikes! I did say "last resort".
