Hi Angie,
I am hoping you can help me with something. I am a young professional and am in the process of building my business formal wardrobe (on a budget!). On sale, I recently found a tulip-shaped pencil skirt at 75% off. It is an all-seasons wool fabric and the cut is very flattering on my fairly boyish, rectangle body-shape.
My questions are: 1) I know that tulip shaped skirts are currently in fashion, but are they likely to go out of fashion soon? And 2) Given how flattering the skirt is and the amazing price (especially in Australia where we rarely have significant sales, particularly on quality professional clothing), is it worth buying several in different colours (say, navy pinstripe, grey, and charcoal pinstripe)? I never usually buy multiples of the same item in different colours and am worried that it would like as though I was wearing the same skirt. What is your opinion on this? They are not terribly expensive, but I hate buying clothing that I don’t get adequate use from. At the same time, I am finding it very expensive to build my wardrobe, this is particularly the case as I only want to buy clothing that will last and is made of quality fabric.
Thank you for your help!
