I went wild today and have ordered TONS of footwear at NAS. Hopefully I can find something that fits.
I have been looking for flat oxfords for more than a year and I have ordered Trouve oxfords in brown - to bookend my hair. 3 hours later I decided that maybe I should have ordered grey - for lower contrast with bare legs - so I ordered grey ones as well?
I love the idea of oxfords but cannot imagine right now what would work better for me - brown or grey - any suggestions? What would be my best option if they fit?

They aren't grey - more taupe/tan with a warm brown heel. They will also work and are definitely better on a fair bare leg. If you want to wear the oxfords with jeans, then brown is probably a good idea.

I had to be disciplined and not buy these oxfords - I LOVE THEM. But I just got the SW ballet flats

Sara, thanks - I keep my fingers crossed. Let's just say I have ordered 10 pairs of different boots and booties and 8 pairs of different shoes. If this is not wild I don't know what is!:-)
Angie, thanks. I have no idea if I can even wear oxfords with bare legs (like shorts or dresses) without looking ridiculous in them. They look well on the models in the catalogue but I am neither that young not that slim legged... Oh, what do I do!

Well, I would wear the light colour bare legged and I am not much younger than you. If I can do it - YOU can do it too.

Yeah, but unlike you I have thicker ankles and calves: will high vamp an no heel work for me - that is the question... I will have to decide in the store which color to get if they fit that's why I am bothering you: I I could take them home and post pictures that would be a different matter but then I would need to drive over the border for the 3rd time to treturn the runner up!

Make sure to wear shorts or bring a pair to try the lighter coloured ones on with.

Do you have light coloured summer pants? If it's a shoe to die for, and if I assume correctly you have a hard time finding footwear, think longterm.

Freckles, I do not have any summer pants - I either wear bermudas or clams or jeans. I dream of finding a white and light blue wash but no luck so far...
Maybe I should keep both if they fit...:-)
You know, it will be perfectly ironic if after all this fret about the color they do not fit at all...

I ordered them in the lighter color. I'm excited to expand my light colored shoe collection! I'm envisioning wearing them with light washed flares, light washed skinny's, and cargos. I'll have to try them out with denim shorts too.
