Okay, I am totally confused about this blazer, whether it fits properly, is a 10, needs to be altered, etc. Have gotten lots of great comments but since there's no real consensus I need our fearless leader's guidance. TIA!

KILLER Theory jacket. Needs to have the sleeves shortened big time. Looks incredible with the sleeves scrunched! Modern. Not conservative and boxy. In fact, I see the exact opposite! Totally in agreement with Parsley, K can shop, and Zap on that thread.

Note: I bat for Team Looser Clothes because I think they look more chic, elegant and flattering that way. By choice, my tailored fits are looser than how most ladies wear them on the forum and in blogosphere. So bear that in mind when you read my 2 cents.

I like K too. My husband calls me that in written items. There is something fun about going by an initial. Maybe I'll search around and see if I can figure out how to change my moniker. Don't be shocked if Greg gets an email from me.

AND OMG UNA, totally hijacked your thread. Sorry my dear! But see how much love there is for that jacket. It really is fabulous. I hope it survives it probationary period and gets taken on for good. (BTW, I think what tipped me on it was seeing how amazingly fab it looked with your jeans and tee/sweater. Seriously. How great was that. And with a cuff? I die!)

So just wrote out a whole post and lost it by clicking around. But Angie, THANK YOU! I think this is just out of my comfort zone. But if it works, it will fill the need for a work blazer that can go from conservative to edgy to casual (possibly).

How much should I shorten the sleeves? There are buttons so that will be quite the tweak - any other alterations?

I'd say at least an inch and a half on the sleeves.

Una, I always go for the top of that nub that sticks out on the side of your hand where your thumb bones connect to your wrist. I read that somewhere and it always seems to work beautifully. Or maybe I should say Konnects.

Thanks, K - that's what I was trying to figure out. Not as long as outerwear, right? But not nerd-short?

Exactly. A tailor should be able to get it right and you'll only have to speak up if they look like they are going way to short or long. There isn't nearly as much wiggle room in the acceptable range for sleeve length as there is for say ppl.
