Congrats to the winner of the Zina painter shirt giveaway!
I really want to try this look, but because I consider this a trendy item for me, I don't want to drop $400 on it.
Angie, have you seen a less expensive version of this style of painter top? I'd love to give it a try.

I asked about this recently (although the specific style of the Zina painter shirt did not appeal to me) and only got one reply! Maybe some fresh faces might respond to your question. I hope so because I too am curious and want to explore the idea of this look, but not with that specific shirt.

I have seen a chambray version at Anthro, but nothing quite as voluminous. It’s not a mainstream look yet, Sarah, so you might need to wait. I bet Anne Fontaine has one though – for about $400 too I guess.

But lots of straight shirt tunics around because that's more mainstream.

In the mean time, I'm wondering if something like this would work over skinnies with a belt. Not as fun as the painter top, but what do you think for me, Angie?

J Jill usually has their version of a poet's shirt out every year. But not this year. There are some other versions at J Jill that may serve this purpose....and less than $400!

I had not heard that! i just ordered something off their website so i HOPE they have not closed down! And I really-really-really like their slim authentic jeans and wanted to duplicate them. If this is true...I better order them FAST!!!

I saw some long shirts on Esprit site that are not quite as voluminous but might work. They all seem to have a drawstring at the hips or at empire level though.

Do you get Selected Femme in the US, I saw this shirt on ASOS and thought it had the feel of the original shirt, although it has less volume

I was at Macys today and the INC department has quite a few of those white painter-esque tops. I didn't try any on but they looked pretty nice! It's worth a look.
