Okay...I've been crazy-busy; but I've read some of the threads on this issue. So, now I need a lil' help to nail the best fit possible. As a reminder, I wear a 9.5N and my calves measure 12-12.5 inches. Most folks here seem to have either one issue or the other, but not both. Thus my inquiry...
I ordered 2 pairs of the Frye Rory boots from Zappos, 9.5 and 9, and my heel was still slipping in the 9's. Not totally used to the scrunch look on me, but it seems to balance my bony ankles a bit. I still don't have much meat on my legs to achieve the neatest scrunch, IYKWIM. I'm wondering if it is worth it to size down to an 8.5. Seems crazy...what do you think? Is there another Frye style that would work well for me? Or should I move on???
Also, where are you two (you in particular, Taylor) finding all of your boots??? I fall between you in terms of calf measurement. Are you having alterations done????? Or is there some magical style and brand that I am omitting in my search?
Would you two be willing to provide me with a hit-list of your top five boots that specifically fit the "chicken leg and narrow foot" bill? I'd appreciate it. <3
