I'm on a tight budget and can only afford to buy two pairs of shoes for the Spring/Summer season. Which shoes should I buy?

I'm not Angie, but here's some food for thought:

What is your lifestyle? Do you need shoes for a business formal environment? Or is your lifestyle primarily casual?

What do you currently have in your spring/summer shoe wardrobe?

What do you wear in spring/summer? Are you a frock girl? Or do you wear shorts/pants?

Hey Guys,

I'm not sure if I'm the same Meg or not though

I'm a freelance writer and work from home. My lifestyle is very casual, the "Mom On the Go" pieces are what I plan my outfits around. I love dresses and would like to work them into my everyday casual look but, I find myself more in jeans and in the summer, shorts. I live in Atlanta so clothing that is light and breathable is key. Also, I have pronated, flat feet so I would need something with a bit of stability.

Oh, I forgot to add that my summer shoe wardrobe consists of a pair of espadrille wedges, flat gladiator sandals and converse sneakers.

I sure will Angie! Becky, yes I can wear those. I like that they are casual enough to be worn everyday but can be dressed up as well. Of black, brown or a print which do you think would be most versatile?

For spring/summer, I really like metallic ballet flats: Silver or pewter if you wear mostly cool colors, or gold or bronze if you wear mostly warm colors.

Loudly echoing Becky on the versatility of metallic footwear for summer. I don't know how I ever set foot out of doors before discovering pewter footwear, which is widely thought to look a lot more seasonal than black while being just as versatile.
Maybe one pair of metallic ballet flats and one pair of cute sandals in a colour of your choice? It might be fun to have one playful pair of shoes to sass up your motg outfits.

I have been looking for the perfect nude wedge for about 2 years now, and finally found it at Aldo for $80! I like that these can work with dressy or casual items - also very on trend with the nude colors right now and go with everything while making your legs look long. Also love the metallic ballet flat, I wear the ones at the link below from Target all the time! They are incredibly comfortable and really cute!
