I love it & would wear it for sure. I do think though, that if you have doubts then you are better off sending it back & finding something you do want to wear.

I love it, but honestly... I wouldn't wear it. And although it's super cool, it doesn't necessarily strike me as super cool in a bj1111 way. It seems a little more "look at me!' than your usual, insoucient, "look at me or not -- I don't really care, but if you don't you'll be missing out" self.

I love it, and I believe with every fiber of my being that you need to wear this. Be the Batgirl. This cape is just fantastic, and the odds that anyone else will have one are pretty slim.

Life is too short for placeholder pieces. Wear your killer cape and be your fabulous self!

(ETA - yes, I would wear this. Totally. Maybe not every single day. Or maybe every single day. You neeeeeeeed to wear this amazing piece!)

I have no dog in this fight... It's totally up to you. We've established it is a magnificent piece. I would ask you, do you feel like you wear Boris or do you feel like Boris wears you? Because I would guess that your gut will probably have an answer for you & it will be the right one.

Hi, ladies ...this is a two year old thread when I met several lovely lively ladies in Chicago with Angie.

I did return Boris ...I did see him on eBay a few months later.

I didn't remember seeing this FANTASTIC cape so got sucked into the old thread!

It really did look amazing on you, but congrats on being so logical.

I know you have lots of great things in your closet. Did you ever have an event where you thought, "Oh, wish I had it back!"?

Ha! That's a good story! And you murmured to him across the internets in your best Natasha accent 'zo Borisss, vee meet again'

@thimbelina...i did feel a little bit like Natasha cauzing big trrubl for mooz and sqviril. bonus points if you can name the reference.

My after school routine was an episode of Rocky & Bullwinkle followed by an installment of Dark Shadows. Yeah, that probably explains a lot...

that particular reference is from murphy brown...although i did imbibe a lot of rocky and bullwinkle and, omg embarrassed to say, underdog.

I forgot about Murphy brown! Yes she's wedged in there somewhere in my memories too. Heh...

I am SO sad this was a necro-posting accident. I adore that cape to the extent that I would probably seek one out to purchase if it were current! I'm sorry it didn't work out for you, but better to return than to have a pricey closet orphan.

OMG this is hilarious! I was wondering why bj1111 was asking about a Chicago purchase when I could have sworn I just saw her in Seattle a couple of weeks ago! LOL

i am mourning Boris although two years too late...........
