Ask Angie: & Others - are grey skinnies too casual by default?

I'm in the market for a new pair of skinnies, and have fallen in love with the look of grey denim. I'm wondering if it will automatically look casual, though, due to the faded tone of the grey. What are you thoughts?

I have a pair, and Aida does too and rocks them so many ways. I think you can make them dressy or casual just like any other pants!

For me these would be more casual than say dark blue or black. I wear my black skinnies for work but I wouldn't feel comfortable in these x

They are more casual than darker denim. About the same as faded denim. If that works for your lifestyle, go for it.

Thanks for the input. I tried on the Paige Denim pair yesterday and they were wonderful, but I decided not to get them and instead to look for a similar option at a lower price point. I found a pair at Express for $50. Not the same quality, but for a casual pair of skinnies they will suffice. I saved the big money for a replacement pair of indigo PD Skyline Straight Leg to replace my worn out pair.

For me grey and khaki read casual but that just me:). I do think, it you pair grey with crisp white it can look dressy:)
