Ask Angie (or anyone): your gorgeous green clutch

Angie, I would love to pick up an oversized clutch similar to the one you sported in the recent bf jeans blog post. Would you mind sharing if your clutch is still available or if you have seen anything similar? I like that the clutch is both oversized and also has some dimension to it (not just a flat envelope style).

I am not sure who makes Angie's but I have a large Matt & Nat clutch that also has a detachable chain strap that is really nice. It is the japanese paper fabric and the Santogold style. I have a deep purple one. Found one in green on their sale site.

I was actually with Angie when she bought that clutch! It's from a small So Cal boutique called Veronica M: http://www.veronicamclothing.com/. They have a ton of fab inexpensive clutches, but unfortunately not online!

Oh, I have been wondering the same thing! Kate Spade has a variety of styles in a similar green. Angie, I've been wondering if the zipper detailing catches on fine fabrics? I wear a lot of knits, and that would be my concern - though I love the look.

Also, you ladies are *slaying* me with the bags! I'm on the hunt for a fall clutch. Thanks for the inspiration!

@ Dianthus - how large is large? What can you fit in there? I have a clutch that will just fit my phone, a lipstick, and my keys. My drivers' license/credit card/cash go in a little pocket because my wallet won't fit. It's a good size, though, and easy to carry.

Arya, according to the site, the bag is 14" which sounds huge but because the bottom is narrow, it doesn't look huge but it is large enough to carry a fair bit of stuff. I have a larger rectangle wallet that is an inch thick, and also have lot of keys, my bag of essentials, work ID, and blackberry and I was able to fit it all but it was a bit tight. I bought a new wallet that is more square and thinner so I could use the slightly smaller bags more often. For most people, this would be big enough for daily use.

Thanks, dianthus. I was trying to imagine the 14" (pulled out a measuring tape and everything), but it didn't help me visualize what I could fit in the bag. I, too, have a rectangle wallet - my preferred style of wallet - and it would be nice to be able to just stick it in the clutch rather than remove the two or three items that I need for an outing.

MPJ, I don't find my green clutch oversized actually. It's interesting that you do!

I have been daytime-clutching all Summer and *love* the strategy. It won't work when it rains though - and I have to also hold an umbrella

Angie - I probably just mis-stated...I really just meant that I liked the size of your clutch as compared to the very small (and often evening themed/dressy) clutches that fit no more than your ID and a tube of lipstick. When I go back to look at your overall outfit, the clutch really doesn't seem oversized compared to your frame, just a good sized clutch.
