Ask Angie or anyone: Kut from the Kloth white denim?

I'm in need of new white skinnies this spring, as my old ones were purchased in the early days of YLF and the fit is not up to my new standards. Does anyone have experience with these? I'm wondering if the denim is substantial enough to provide good coverage. Kut jeans fit me well, so I thought I might give them a try.

In the past Sarah, these have been fab. I haven't had the new stock on anyone yet though. We've all been dodging the snow.

I will be in stores this week and report back!

Thanks, Angie. I don't know why I'm thinking about white denim right now ; ). Maybe it's because we hardly have any snow! We certainly could use some of yours to go along with the cold.

oh, sarah - are you *done* with winter already? I think I am -- I'm startinging to put together outfits that aren't very warm. Then I chicken out and layer up instead

Have you got a summy trip planned -- for wearing white denim, of course?

Sara - I'm missing my xc skiing so much, I can't stand it! This winter is driving me totally nuts. So, here I am escaping into thoughts of white denim. I have a work trip to Phoenix next month, and then a spring break trip to Georgia in March, so what the heck? I may as well shop for spring clothes since I can't ski.

Have you gotten out skating on the lakes at all? That seems to be the one saving grace of this winter...

Ha - I have a fear of frozen lakes! Handy when I live here, no?

I haven't been XC skiing in years, and totally burned out on downhill skiing a few years ago: 30 seconds down the hill for every 6 minute chair ride up in sub zero windchill. It was more fun than I could take

This spring we're planning to visit my Colorado niece and stay/ski with her -- before she moves back to MN in the summer. I've decided that I'm only skiing if it's in the mountains, on sunny, 40+ degree days, with minimal wind. . . I hope the weather cooperates with my demands!

Any chance the YLF Chicago meet-up might fit in with your other travel plans??????

My first ever Kut from Kloth jeans arrived this week and are at the seamstress getting the legs shortened. I got the Diana skinny in red and in the denim. I can't believe that I have gone my whole life without these jeans !!! I LOVE them.

I am going to get the white in a couple of months.

Sara - I hadn't heard about the Chicago meet up. Fill me in! I must have missed the thread. I hear you about downhill skiing in MN, altho we took the kids last week on the manmade snow at Afton, and it was 30 degrees! It reminded me of CA (well sort of) and the kids didn't even get cold! They wouldn't stop!

Isabel - I'm glad you love yours! I have some in black and dark indigo and I wear them all the time. But I'm also contemplating the JCrew high rises in white, as they fit me well, too. I can't wait to see you in your red skinnies!

I have some white denim Kut walking shorts (a year and a half old) that I really like-they hold up well (and when I spill on them I can get them white again with oxy-clean without noticeable wear on the fabric.)

I have KUT black, blue and white jeans, and white bermudas. These are from last year (the Rack so could be prior year), but the denim is quite substantial and has a bit of stretch to it.

Someone's thinking about SPRING! I like the *cut* of these, Sarah, but don't have any experience with them. Sounds like Angie's going to be doing a scouting mission soon, so if you can't do any skiing, keep dreaming about white denim!

How does sizing run on these jeans? I typically wear 4, but 2 when they're stretchy (like in Gap Long and Leans and Blue Essence Skinnies).

GP - I have 10s in most of my Kuts because they do stretch out a bit, but 12 fits me best in the black (except they are too short so I'm donating them). I wear 8 in my Blue Essence red skinnies and they still stretch out a bit but don't ever get baggy. Gap Long and Leans haven't fit me since I had maternity ones - the waist is too tight (hits at my widest no waist parts and gives me serious muffin top) I think they have a lot of different cuts so it may depend on the fabrication as well as the cut of the KUT.

I had some of their white jeans a year or two ago. I liked them a lot. The denim was a nice weight and they were comfy. I think I would agree they do tend to stretch.

Natalie - I have a 4 in the black and 2 in the blue denim, which seems to stretch more than the black for some reason. I think I might have been able to go down to a 0 in the blue, actually, because of the stretch.
