I really like the Monroe from Denham pair. Slouchy but still fitted IYKWIM. Very cool.

Oooh, now I want those J.Crew jeans…they look great on you!

KILLER cute! Love the new relaxed, yet tailored dark wash jeans

Oh wow - I love these JCrew jeans !! How is the sizing ? TTS?

Never mind I see that question asked and answered up - thread .

I like what you ended up with. Thumbs up!

Can I please vent for a moment?  I found them on the JCrew site, added them to my cart a little tentatively because they are $188 Cdn  but i really love them , and was even more thrilled when they went down to under $100 at checkout. Then the system realizes I'm not logged in to my Cdn account or something, has me sign in again, and they are back up  to $188 Cdn, not discounted for us, and there is $15 shipping on top of it all. Now they are $250 jeans. Nope.  Grrr.  Why the discount for the US buyers and not for Canadians??

Lisa, what happens if you have someone in the USA buy them & mail them to you? It doesn’t work for me—German govt charges customs duties to bring things back to presale prices, but maybe it would work for you.

FI, I’m answering for Lisa, perhaps, but I just happened to see this before her. I have actually done this for a few Canadian YLFers — most recently I got a pair of sandals for Lisa at DSW and shipped them to her. However, those sandals were not available in Canada at all. By the time we converted the price into Canadian dollars and added the shipping costs (which seem to have exploded in the last couple of years), it still adds up to a significantly more expensive purchase for Canadians than for US customers. I definitely feel for her! The price difference would very likely have the effect of curbing my shopping if I lived in Canada.

The prices of pieces here in Japan are so high that buying from abroad even with tax is cheaper (and even more so if you don't get hit with tax).

In the UK you always get hit with tax for anything like over $30...In Japan its about $100-150 you can get away with but sometimes they don't charge you for everything even when its over...its odd...i'm not complaining though. If you get leather goods however those are always taxed...but i'm vegan so it doesn't apply.

Thanks Janet. Should’ve figured that had been tried already! The things I’ve bought from the UK aren’t directly available here, but it was explained to me that the import duties/taxes are based on what they calculate to be the actual value.

Added the Find, and yes, things are much more pricey when US stuff is bought from Canada. It sucks

Those are great notsaf - I love that they read a little dressy; almost a trouser.

Those are great jeans, Notsaf.
