I am realizing that I need a somewhat basic fall/spring coat for work. I am eyeing a few trench coats from Nordstrom, made by London Fog. They are both reasonably priced, and have removable liners. I would purchase it in black (both come in black and trench coat beige). One is longer than the other (midi length) with a detachable hood, and is single-breasted; the other seems to be a more classic trench silhouette.

I was wondering if you had seen these in person, and/or if you had any feelings about one vs. the other? Any thoughts would be appreciated, as always :). I realize these might be a bit more classic than I usually go for, but I like the idea of getting a basic coat that won't date too quickly for work, and I like that they have liners so they offer some warmth, vs. a thin nylon trench.

I'd love to hear others' thoughts too, of course!!
