I could try the petite S & K, it couldn't hurt, I guess, since I have other things to return anyway (I like to do it in-store; I'm weird that way). It is a very awesome jacket; I'm just not sure that even in petite it would work on me. It seems not to be a great piece for a busty apple. But I could try it.
Consensus seems to be to go with the Halogen. I concur! I may also try ordering the dark brown jacket.
Just checked. Regular S & K goes up to XL, which I bought. Petite stops at L. I could buy and hold onto without pressure (thanks to generous Nordstrom policy) to see if I will size down, but not being immediately able to try on....I don't know, not sure if I see a point to it. I could get the $$ back but in the meantime $300 is locked up and jacket would be sitting there indefinitely waiting for me to lose weight.
Personally I think you should let it go instead of waiting to lose more weight. I hate to see you staring at $300 hanging in the closet. Plus you may not like the way it fits once you do lose more. In the meantime you'll probably run across something else that is perfect.
