Dear Angie and fabbers,
I struggle on with the denim on denim look because I think it can look really fun when done right, and I would love to hear your advice when you have time - no rush.

Here's an attempt with the white blazer. I want to achieve a feminine look with masculine undertones. I need to look smart casual for work. I also wonder about the sleeves. Is it better to leave the blazer un-scrunched, or should I rather scrunch both shirt and blazer? I'm sorry about the belt - it seems to be a need for a more fun and feminine belt in my wardrobe. Those I have are too short for pants.

How can I improve on this look? Any and all comments are highly appreciated.

I think it's a great denim on denim look! Love it with the white jacket. For myself I might scrunch/ roll both sets of sleeves, but that is just a preference. I like how the pearls add more white and a bit of femininity; so do the shoes and the bare arms in #2. If you had a lighter belt then that might be a bit better -- I guess that is on the shopping list, as you say!

Personally, I LOVE these looks, Ingunn. I was onboard with denim on denim from the start. Your hairstyle always adds a feminine touch

You can leave the sleeves un-scrunched, or scrunch both sets of sleeves. Belt looks great!

YES!!! And now you've given me the idea of pairing my darker denim shirt with lighter denim jeans and my white leather jacket. You've REALLY got me wanting a white blazer too based on how brilliantly you've been styling yours.

Not just good- it's an excellent denim on denim look.
My only quibble is the length of sleeve sticking out under the jacket, as others have said. If you scrunch both with just the cuffs of the shirt showing it will be perfect to my eye.

Oh, thanks, everyone! I wasn't too sure about the sleeves, but now you've helped me on that point. I completely agree that it looks better with a cleaner crunch. Thank you for commenting on the wedges, too. I bought them last Summer in San Diego (Nine West), and finally I can get some wear out of them again. I bought a lot of clothes theres, and I've worn very much of it the last year. I hope I get to go back to the US before too long to do some more shopping. After joining YLF, I know a lot more about what to look for, too

Shannon, I can't wait to see you in DonD with the leather jacket. I'm not sure you really need a blazer when you have that wonderful topper already.

I like it the way it is. Sleeves could be varied either way. A patterned belt would be cute here.

I say scrunch both sets of sleeves. Or, maybe turn up the cuff of the denim shirt to cover the very bottom of the jacket sleeves? Then scrunch or not. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks, everyone! You have been really helpful. I wore this outfit to work today - have been prepping my students for their final exams this week all day. It was a great outfit for my activities and the weather, and I think I will be repeating it. The sleeves were scrunched I will keep my eyes peeled for a fun light belt with pattern. The one I really want is in snakeskin pattern, but too expensive.
