My BOfriend bought me this nice purple dress. It fits perfectly. It is really short. I left the tags on and wore it out in my yard just to try it. I don't like how much the wind blows it up. I hust don't feel comfortable wearing it that short. Thanks. Vicki

Would it work with leggings or over skinnies. Seems a shame to get rid of it it you like it but it's just a bit short x

I don't know. I like dresses because I don't like things close to by legs. I hate the feeling of tights and leggings. It is also why I don't wear pants. It just feels itchy to me. THnaks. Vicki.

Why don't you just tell him what you wrote here? You love the dress but it is too short, and you feel uncomfortable when it blows around in the wind? I'm sure he would understand.

I'm with Steph, just tell him the concern you have with it, while also emphasizing the many fabulous things about the dress such as colour and fit. Maybe then you can propose a joint shopping trip where he can help you pick out a replacement? That way he's still involved in the process, but you have your say too. Follow it up with a nice brunch and make a couple's outing of it!
