Hi Angie,

Just curious if you've happened to see this frock on a body yet? I just ordered it to try on for my work holiday party but wanted your thoughts first. Would this work on an apple shape? I don't usually go for this style dress but the polka dots called my name...

Polka dots are adorable (and so you of course) but I would be concerned with the puffy skirt. however there is not harm in trying...:-)

What a gorgeous dress, Marianna! I think the wide, structured band at the waist would work well for you, as long as it hits at right place, and doesn't look too shortwaisted. The fullness in the skirt would provide balance to the top half, I think.

Thanks, Sveta and Beth Ann! I also worry about the fullness in the skirt, but I ordered it so I will give it a try and see. I usually go for straighter styles.

I haven't seen it, Marianna.

It looks a little short waisted, don't you think? And I worry a little about those gathers. You are not one to like "pouf" unless your style preferences have changed.

That said, you never know with frocks. They often surprise us, so I'm glad you ordered it. It's a worthwhile experiment. Keep us posted.
