Every day I think about Angie's cream pumps more and more:

I have almost overcome the price shock for them! I really like how these cream pumps look on Angie. However I am not sure if they work for me. My hair is brown and my skin is not as fair so they can't work as nude shoes for me. Also can you wear this color pumps with trench or coat or they are more of summer type shoes?
Please help me to decide if I will get as much wear out of cream shoes.

Do you think these Fidji pumps in black can play a role of these black booties for me if cream does not work out?

Sveta, FYI -- I found some of the size 43s to run small. I think these ones fit me length wise but were too narrow. I wish you could try them on first!

I didn't answer earlier cuz I'm not Angie... but my first thought Sveta is that being in Canada, I would think you would want the warmth that a full bootie would offer. Do you think your feet would get cold in the pumps (gorgeous as they are!)

Thanks, Marianna, that is good to know. What width do you usually take in size 12 - M or W?
Kim, I know, snow is coming!:-( Usually I can wear thick soled shoes (as opposed to thin soled ballet flats) with tights until end of November here and then switch to boots.

Sveta, I take 12M. I'm sure 12W would be more comfortable sometimes (my feet are chubby like me!) but 12W doesn't really exist, except in orthopedic shoes. All my shoes are 12M and I have no problems, but I know my feet are on the wide side.

Nordies has some Fidji boots now. Might be worth a look. They are pricey though.

I too found the Fidjis a bit snug. I bought them and wore them out once, but they dug badly and rubbed my big toe bone raw I was almost willing to size up one more half size but it was just too expensive to keep experimenting.

FWIW I got them in black. The heel of the black is also black, unlike the woody look on the cream and olive versions, but I found them edgier and better suited to my wardrobe, skin, and hair color.

I have the same pumps, and with my darker skin they create more contrast, so they work almost as a bright. I wear them with everything, and they are extremely versatile. The sole isn't that thin. I haven't tried them with tights yet, but I plan to. There are small cutouts on the sides next to the sole, so I don't think they can be worn very far into the fall, and definitely not when it's raining, but if you commute by car, it won't be an issue.

I was considering those as well Sveta. I have the same concerns about the creme for me, but I was thinking about the olive color, thinking that could be a fun neutral. I ended up getting these:

I love the color, it's a metallic, but sort of gold, black and pewter all at once, if that makes sense. I thought they would look good with skirts, jeans dresses too. What do you think?

Unlike Marianne who also lives in Seattle, my cream Fidjis are late Spring/Summer shoes for me. They are too cold to wear now. I am in closed shoes and socks - or pumps and hose already.

I vote black booties, Sveta.

I agree with the other ladies. The shoes may be too cold to wear. What about these in black ( as soon as I am off SYC and am RUNNING in sneakers to Nordies to try these on ! ) ?

Sveta, since you are going to be in the Boston area, you might want to consider The Forgotten Foot in Framingham on Route 9. He carries some wonderful things in hard to find sizes. You might want to contact him first to make sure he has some booties that fit what you are looking for.
