Ask Angie et al: what do we think of these shoes for my style?

I am not having too much fun shopping this year because I don't want to buy anything except gaping holes until my weight is stable (maybe I make exception for 1-2 fun pieces thrown in...I am not THAT iron willed!)
However I can still go wild on accessories, right? Footwear, I am thinking of you now!
My size is VERY hard to find and even harder to find something fashionable and trendy in it. Add to it the fact that I need heels 2" or lower and wider toe box and this is indeed a high order to fill! Because of this I am always on the lookout for new footwear meeting all these criteria and now I feel especially justified!
My summer footwear needed an update as my 3 fun pairs were getting quite tired. I got casual ankle strap flats in Boston to replace my tired Clarks gladiators However I still need to find a replacement for my nude cage Franco Sarto sandals which also begin to look too tired (pic 1).

This is what I have in my Nordstrom cart - please give your opinions if any should work for my style. Again the selection in my size is so limited that this is the best I could find

1. Naya Heaton sandals (pic 2-3) These are flats but they look quite dressy to my eyes - or am I delirious? I also cannot decide between black and white. I usually stay away from black sandals as they feel too heavy - but maybe this should be an exception?
2. Adam Tucker Lexa (pic 4-5) These maybe a replacement for FS wedges and my first thought was the nude pair - but maybe I am being narrow minded and this "seagreen" is a nice option too?
3. Louise et Cie Apolla (pic 6) These ones I like in black but I am not sure if the style is right for me and also if black ankle straps won't be stumpyfying for my thick ankles? I am also not sure if narrow straps are comfortable enough but I guess there is only one way to find out, right?
4. Jeffrey Campbell Everly booties (pic 7-8) These are more spring and early fall than high summer for my climate but I am intrigued but the cutout booties. I also cannot make up my mind on the color - white (feels more spring-like) or black (bookending color for me and I don't have any black footwear right now)

So here I am sitting with my Nordstrom bag and don't know what to do. I am afraid they may be gone in my size if I don't act soon...help?!

Ohhh lovely choices! I like #2 for you, especially if you already have black flats; I think these will behave more like regular flats than like sandals. I'm no help on #4/5, both color options look like they'd get good wear for you. And, well, count me out as further help because #6-8 also look great and I want you to have them all. Ok hopefully cooler heads can give you better advice

Thanks Aida. I don't have black flats - or heels for that matter so I guess this is why I cannot make up my mind.
If you are no help with the selection at least you confirmed that I am on the right track here!

Hm. If you don't have black flats, I still vote these in the white and then a pointy black flat if you ever come across it

Ah, pointy anything is a hard thing for me as i have wider forefoot. Almond toes may work but so far I found a single pair of pointy slingbacks that work and even those I would prefer in W width...

Honestly, I think all of them are lovely on you I'm inclined to say #2-3 and 7-8 are my favourites for you. If you had to pick one colour among 7-8, I'd say go with #8. For some reason, I like it when you wear muted/lighter colours!

But yes - ALL those shoes are lovely and I can just see you wear them!

PS. Thanks for posting this - I'm on a lookout for shoes that aren't higher heeled as well!

I feel for you. I have wide feet and it is such a challenge.

I like the Naya Heaton sandals in white. They seem a little dressy but seem like they would work with your wardrobe unless your are just looking for a more casual sandal.

The Adam Tucker's are pretty. Are you able to fit into the band across the front? I have trouble with those sometimes. Both colors are fab so I guess it's up to what you need. Maybe go with nude if they are a replacement.

I like #6. I find that narrow straps can be comfortable if you have lots of narrow straps to hold your feet in. (Just one small narrow strap can be torture!).

I love the Jeffrey Campbell booties! The white ones really pop but the black ones would be so versatile and sounds like you have a need for black right now.

I'm all for #7. OK, they are black but that is going to be lightened by your skin tone showing through. The strappiness at the ankle will strike a good balance with your width in the toe box. They are edgier than the other styles and finally, I don't think you have the high summer temps that would make them uncomfortable.

I think they are all very nice in the pictures but you really have to see how they fit you in order to make a decision. I would order my favorites of each color since you have duplicates. This way you would see how they fit and then take it from there.

When it relates to buying shoes, most rule themselves out once you try them on. I also have a wide foot and that has been my experience. Now I try to go for pretty plus comfort.

I have a friend who has trouble with shoes too. I think she's an 11 so slightly easier than your situation. If I had this much trouble finding shoes, I'd order them all, try them with wardrobe and return what doesn't work. It's a big commitment but if you're not really spending on other stuff maybe it could work?

I love all of the choices. You have such a well-curated wardrobe and strong sense of style that you'll definitely make the right choice. You seem to be a very disciplined shopper but maybe shoes are harder because you can't often find exactly what you want?

Can't wait to see what you end up with and how you wear them with your wardrobe!

You should get them all! But I would choose 2, 4, and 6, giving you a white, nude and summer black. I also like 7/8 and could see both colors. Could you try at least one pair of each style to see if they are comfortable for walking?

Wow these are all nice choices.
Here's my suggestions - get the Louise and Cie in black - the straps are not too wide and I don't think they will be unflattering. I would order the Nayas in both black and white just in case the Louise and Cie don't fit well. You can decide afterward which colour to keep. I think you're on the right track with the nude Adam Tucker's, but I'm not sure how comfortable they will be with the single band across the foot. Worth a try though. And now to the Everlys - I love both colours but why not get the white for summer? They would look amazing with jeans or cropped pants, or boyfriends.

I am in the camp that says, order them all and try them on. They're all great shoes but the proof is in the wearing.

In terms of style....any can and would work for you.

I really like the idea of the first ones in the lighter colour. I am strangely tempted by the sea green of the second ones -- it's an interesting colour, but of course you would need to see it in person and think whether it would work with your clothing. The ankle strap must also be considered -- it's an additional fit question.

The booties are fantabulous! I love them in the white. In the black they feel a bit too heavy for our summer (to my eye) and if you wanted one black and one white shoe then I would go black for Nayas and white for booties.

I also love those gladiators!! I think they very possibly could work for you! They are more refined than the typical gladiator sandal and the chunky heel is fun. Only way to know is to see them on.

#2 and #4 get my top vote. I'd wear those in a heartbeat. Despite the fact that you don't like blacks shoes, I think you'll wear #6 very well, and find them versatile. I also love the look of a classic gladiator.

#8, I tried myself a few times - because you know - they are white. I just don't have the foot and ankle volume to pull them off - and I found them too ALGO with the texture. Plus they were too chunky. You have the foot volume, and wear chunkier shoes better than I do - so that part is sorted. But I worry a little about the texture. These would be a better style match in my bossy opinion - but I know they don't make your size:

Thank you all for your help. If only we have such excellent online ordering options in Canada as you have in US I would order them all in a heartbeat without asking. As it stands I have to order them to the border and make decision there on the spot which take home because I have to pay custom duties In addition with the US dollar exchange rate ordering and returning is quite an expensive game now...
Of course I will try them for comfort first and if they are not comfortable then it is no go. I am more worried about making desicion which to keep if they all work comfort wise and want to have some preliminary research now
I also worry that Adam Tucket single front strap may be not comfortable or does not look right on my wide foot but I think the only way is to try.
Angie, I was not sure why I hesitate about these white Everly booties and I think you pointed it out - too much ALGO. I like those NW booties but even whey their footwear come in my size it is usually not a good fit for me.
OK, I am ordering tonight and will play it by ear when they come. Thank you for your help!

My favorites are 4, 5, and 6 (actually, my most favorite was #1, which you currently own!). As for color, I think it just depends on your wardrobe. If you're going to be replacing the nude Franco Sartos, maybe you'd like to buy the new sandals in a light color?

Hearing about all the hoops you Canadians have to jump through with ordering and returns makes me so grateful that I live in the U.S. I don't think I could manage in Canada, as I return probably 90% of what I order, even though I try to check everything carefully.
