Ask Angie, et al: Karen Millen Sizing Help

Hi Friends, Long time no see! I am still stalking the forum once in a while, but I have to limit my time here now that I am trying to manage my shopping... I get the wantsies every time I see someone post something new and lovely!

I did fall pretty hard for the Karen Millen pieces Angie posted about yesterday. In her descriptions, she mentioned that they run small. I've never seen any Karen Millen pieces so I have no idea what my size would be. I am wearing a size 4P/6P these days, though my NAS purchases were all over the place - some size 2, some 8... Do you have any thoughts on what a size a 5' tall, 125 lb person would wear in this brand? Thanks for any help!

I'm 5'15 and weight 108 and wear the size 6/8. Maybe a 10 for you. Their size runs small.

To Rute's point, KM runs very small. Probably a US 8/10 on the tailored pieces.

But their sizes often run from 1 to 4 (unique to them). I wear a size US 0, XS and UK 6/8 - and usually wear a KM size 2 in this size range. I do prefer a looser tailored fit though. To my eye it looks more chic. I also have long arms and stand at 5' 6. Anything smaller is just too short.

Their oversized pieces tend to fit a little roomier. I would probably wear a 1 in those.

Excellent advice! I would definitely want these pieces to have some ease, so I would want to size up for my size, and size up beyond that for an oversized look.

I bought a KM dress a few years ago. I added two sizes to my usual size to convert to UK and it was a bit too snug for my taste. I would go three up so if you are usually a 2, a UK 8.

You might mean a US 8. A UK 8 is a US size 0 or 2.

I am a 4P-6P and when I tried on KM sweaters I liked the size 3 on me. They run very small. I've never felt huge in a store before!!

The sweater I ended up buying in a 3 was a fluid fit sweater kind of like the one's Angie has shown. The size 3 in the more fitted sweaters were still too tight for my taste.

I am 5"1 and weigh 117lbs. I wear UK size 10 I bought a KM dress last year size 3. I have tried lost of their clothes and they are all very small.

Angie, I meant that if Rita wears a U.S. 2 that would convert to a UK 6 and bumped up one to a UK 8. The size charts I have always seen have the difference at one or two increments between US and UK.
