JCrew has a sale and free shipping today and I still can add more sweaters to my wardrobe so I am considering those. My main need is a shorter sweater which I can wear with skirts, culottes and slouchy pants and also which I can layer over a shirt (meaning I need a relaxed welt or high-low hem in shorter length).
If somebody saw them IRL I would appreciate a feedback. I am especially interested if any of them is itchy and fit suggestions. I would also like them to be lint-free.
As for colors I am considering to wear them with the following items:
- cream and grey culottes ( pic 1 and 2; these grey culottes were wide leg pants before);
- black and brown striped skirt, black polka dot skirt, mixed media charcoal skirt (pic 3-5);
- micro-check slouchy trousers in taupe (pic 6);
- striped wide leg trousers in taupe (pic 7)
So this is what I consider:
##1 and 2 are chunky t-necks in what looks like similar fabric content but #1 is a bit thicker than #2. Some review say itchy. I am not super sensitive but would prefer a softer sweater, especially in the neck. Anybody has tried them on? I am considering cream, toffee or burgundy in them - any preference for my bottom selection?
#3 is lambswool sweater on final sale and available in white and blue. White is available in XL only, blue is available in all sizes - not sure if XL would be too big or stylishly oversized. I liked how it looked in the catalog.
This is final sale so I must be pretty sure before I buy it.
#4 merino sweater in white. The descriptions says "oversized fit" - not sure if L should work or I need to size down to M?
#5 lambswool sweater - in heather caramel or maybe white? I like the zippers but not sure if it is going to be itchy.
Any advice or suggestions are very much appreciated. Is any of those worth trying?
