Got this Angie recommended Juicy tux jacket.

And oh man, is it delish. Our Angie knows what's up!!

I love it over jeans - such a natural pairing. I feel so hip and sassy and like I need a top hat. I have 3 formal occasions coming up and I'm wondering if there's a way to wear it over a dress. Any suggestions would be welcome!

I think it would look gorgeous with a dress, just make sure the skirt is a little shorter than the jacket perhaps?

Hm, would it be appropriate to go the "man" formal route with the tux jacket (a la Marlene Dietrich)? High-waisted pleated pants, tuxedo-stripe pants, crisp white shirt, high heels...

Or I could see it worn over a satiny strapless, above-the-knee dress.

i would wear it over a girly girl dress or a slinky dress to really play on the femme. think anything in the blue family.

Actually, I think the dress should be slighly longer. I like the idea of a take on a man's tuxedo. What about a nice black pencil skirt and a white blouse, red or leo pumps?

YES! Over a sheath dress. So fun!

Loving Zap's idea of a black pencil, silky blouse, hose and red pumps.

Flowing dresses could be fab too - but less formal.

I will try it with my sheaths. I'm thinking I may bag the whole dress idea and go full on Janelle Monae.

Also, doesn't the tail button off? The tail is the best part, but you can also create a true cropped look with a dress if you wanted. I want to see more pics of it on you!

I could not zip off the tail... that just doesn't seem right!

My coworker is going to let me try her tux style dress underneath the jacket. She no longer wears it so I may be the lucky recipient. It is a straight black pencil skirt with a ruffled tuxedo top. Fingers crossed!
