Ask Angie: Does cordoroy = texture?

I noticed you did not have cordoroy listed under texture in your list this morning. It appears to me that there is more cordoroy out there this year than I have seen in ages. Your thoughts, please?

I've seen a lot of corduroy too. I'm thinking of some skinny cords in a fall color...

Angie likes very fine whale cords that read like velvet, but generally she's not fond of it.

I personally LOVE my kut from the kloth skinny cords. I have two pair (wearing one right now!).

Ive seen several brands that are cords, but look velvety, this season...some are stretch too I think it adds a interesting texture to any outfit...I hope Angie does too!

I think wide wale corduroy = texture, but I don't like it. I much prefer the fine wale corduroy that resembles velvet.

Your question was answered, Deb. Cord does count as texture - and fine wales are best, and preferably not in bootcut styles.

Thank you, all. Anthropologie has cord skinnies/leggings in a wonderful wine color. They are fine wale. I will let you know how it goes.
