Hey Angie, Greetings to everyone. I wonder if you could or have in the past done a post on plus size clothing. That give off a bit if Androgyny and Urban Warrior for Summer time. Almost every post I have written is about the tragic state of affairs of my spring/summer wardrobe. The best answer is always the obvious ones dress in light weight fabrics and shop in multiple places. But I wanted to know if you or anyone else knew of any places that specifically cater to plus sizes. Urban Warrior. Thanks in advance.

I used to shop Eloquii for work clothes. I know they've recently changed hands / gone independent from The Limited and I've noticed a lot more edge in their clothes. Might still lean too far toward ladylike for your liking but keep in mind you can style items more toward your dark night prince (if I got that right) moniker. Good luck. I feel you on summer dressing!

Tracy is an independent Loss Angeles designer whose work is very punky/gothy. I have a cropped railroad-striped jacket that I love. Both the fabric and the quality are great.

Cult of California is technically a new plus size athletic wear line but there are some great edgy pieces that I would wear in daily life. There was a cool moto jacket that sold out that I really wanted. I haven't personally bought any thing yet so I can't vouch for quality.

ladywone, here's another site worth perusing. Some of the pieces might read as too "girly" but most times they do come in black or grey, which can give them a very different vibe. The issue here is that most of the stuff would probably be unwearable in your climate due to the fabric composition. Still, worth a look?

I am also wondering about some of the Israeli designers. And those might make clothes in fabrics better suited to your hot temperatures.

Suz thank you I'm going to have to take a trip they have local stores in my area. I will be going next weekend. If I could find just a couple of quality pieces I would scoop them up in a heart beat.

We recently got a Torrid in our mall and my daughter and I were pleasantly surprised with the array of items that seemed to have a bit of edge.

You might like some of the Lane Collection from Lane Bryant . There was a nice olive green jacket with black pleather sleeves that caught my eye recently. Also some of the regular line is nice too. Olive green or white linen moto jacket,metallic boots similar to Angie's ,various studded accessories .

I will say that Torrid tends to be the bulk of the edgier side of my wardrobe.

I did a rock camp weekend recently playing guitar so what I wore really highlighted the urban rockstar side of my style. Pretty much everything I wore was either Torrid or H&M+. Oh and the shoes were important.

Rachylou- it appears that we are in the same boat I am starting to gather one piece at a time. I think that I will have a summer uniform which will make it easier for me. Less stress.
