Ask Angie: Clarks Recommendations?

I am on the hunt for comfortable yet stylish shoes to fit my new life as a MOTG to three small children. I've been specifically looking at Clarks and was wondering if you had any recommendations from their line this season. BTW, I LOVE wedges

Suz has some super cute shoes that I *think* are Clark's, although they might be Naturalizer. Hopefully she'll weigh in. Is there a color you want? Neutral to match your skin tone? Bookending to match your hair? Sandals? Wedge?

I'd like a neutral to match my skin tone and also black. On my list are a comfortable walking sandal and also one with a higher heel (I'm 5'2" and like to add some height). I'd like a wedge heel but would consider anything if its comfortable and cute!

Trinity, I am not sure I would truly recommend the ones I have, unless you have what Angie calls a "high volume" foot. (They are Clark's Pitchmint). I suspect I have a "medium volume" foot so these shoes are a bit large on me/ just don't fit me right. BUT...they are quite nice looking and I got them at a bargain price. And if they fit me properly, they'd be super-comfortable; they are lightweight and the footbed is padded.

Suz, these are a pair I keep coming back to and in that exact color! I've been worried about the heel height and keeping up with 2, 3 and 4 year old boys. I may order them from Zappos and give them a try! Thanks for your input.

If they fit you properly, I think you might well be able to keep up with kids in them. I wouldn't wear them to a major playground outing, where I'd be climbing trees with the kids, if you know what I mean -- but to walk downtown, to the grocery store with kids in tow, to the movies, in the house (if you wear shoes indoors) -- I think they'd be fine for all but the most kid-engaged MOTG activities, providing you have reasonable balance.

Thanks, Angie! The heel height is perfect for all day walking. I'm not sure about the metal stud accents but one of the MANY things YLF has taught me is to step out of my norm and try something new

I have the same wedge sandal that Suz posted. I find them extremely comfy, even though they are a bit high. I tried the Thimble Clover that Angie posted, and it's a great height. I would have bought it, but I was oddly between sizes and it just didn't fit my foot very well.

These are the most comfortable sandals I've ever owned (Goldenpig turned me onto them last year) and they're dressy and casual

Thanks, ladies for the recommendations. I ordered seven pair of Clarks today to try. We're going on vacation in a few weeks and I want to have comfortable shoes for the trip. I hope my husband doesn't faint when the deliveries come to his office. Of course, I plan on returning most of them
