Ask Angie: Calla Mary-Janes as recommended!

Hi, Angie!And hi to all those other kind people whose wonderful advice I've been reading for months now!
I've just had a wonderful parcel of Nordstrom shoes arrive way down here in little New Zealand- what a treat! I just wanted to ask Angie about the black and white Calla Mary-Janes recommended maybe a month ago- I bought them! They fit perfectly and seem comfortable. Now I need to wear them! Should I wear them with black/ black and white / a separate colour? I have a fear of looking like one of those pierrot clowns if I wear with black/white!
Thanks for any ideas- I hope I have asked a sensible question-first time , so apologies in advance if it's rather clumsy!

I always think that people outside US who order stuff from Nordies are brave. You must trust those measuring charts and I don't even consider that.

And yes, you have asked sensible question

To begin with, since these seem out of your comfort zone, I'd wear them with some outfit you feel comfortable in, and these shoes would add that extra little zing...

Then I'd experiment - and not just B&W outfits, but add any colors too. Perhaps always one part of the ooutfit either black or white, and then teh other in solid color (cobalt, red, yellow, anything)... or if you're really daring some patterned B&W top.

I'd encourage you to start posting WIWs and share the fun with us, but only when you feel comfortable to do so

Caro, apologies, never thought of the link, but yes,it is the one Ornelia kindly added.Thanks you both for taking the time to reply.A good idea to have one colour with either the black or the white,Ornelia and yes, it does take a bit of a leap to go from the sizechart to the actual order! But I do find that the range U.S shops such as Nordstrom's have is wonderful, and quite cost-effective when on sale!

OMG, love that shoe, somehow i missed it when Angie posted it.

i would love to see this with a black and white outfit, i don't think it would look clownish at all.
i think these would also be great with a pair of jeans. also what about a white on white outfit.

I love those pumps! I have black and white oxfords and my favorite way to wear them is with cobalt pants and a black or white tank and topper.

Those are SO great!!

I would wear them with brights or mid-tones, with white or black elsewhere in the outfit (possibly in an accessory like a bag or belt). For example -- a cobalt blue dress. A white shirt, bright skirt, colourful bag.

Kkards, if I get brave I'll try the black and white and post a photo! I agree that jeans will be perfect.
Susie, thanks for your idea, I think cobalt would be great!And backing that up, Suz, cobalt with a black belt/bag would tie it all together.Now I need to get organised and get brave!Thanks.
