Ask Angie: Calf fit vs. ankle fit - tall boots?

The IRL/online search for my 1st pair of skinny-calf tall boots has exhausted me & I start my seasonal job in two weeks & time has run out!

I purchased your pick - "Vaneli Riwana" & the calf fits perfectly; the ankles are baggy but not bad. I adore the style/comfort of these boots.

I see soooo many lovely ladies here posting pics with fitted calves AND ankles.

I saw a member post these boots who felt the ankles were a bit baggy; you still liked them; others not so much.........sigh......

Can you post a picture of them on you? Maybe the ankle part could be altered. I'm betting Angie will say it's more important to have them fit in the calf.

The calf fit but I also returned them because I did not like the baggy ankle.

I posted about the Vaneli and not liking the bagging ankle. They were very comfy and I would have kept them if I wanted boots just for jeans but I didn't like the look with skirts. Plus I am a perfectionist especially when spending that kind of money.

Pics: I am keeping them because I like them & I like fitted calves; would prefer a less baggy ankle, but all of the soft leather boots I liked bagged at my ankles.

I think they look really nice on you GP. The bottom 1/2 of my legs are so skinny so even if I were to even FIND tight calf/ankle boots, would my legs look like two leather encased twigs?
