Last year I bought a pair of Sperry Topsiders in pewter and wore them until they are now too shabby to wear out of the house! I just got a new pair from Zappos in "platinum," which is a light, shiny metallic gold, but I wonder whether boat shoes are still on trend? Do they fit in with the oxfords and laceless sneakers and loafers we're seeing this spring, or are they So 2012?
(I tried to find a metallic pair of laceless sneakers, but alas! The Vans were sold out and I can't bring myself to spend $100-plus on sneaks...)
