Yay! Thanks for the affirmation, all! Rachylou, puffy, puffy, puffy indeed! I really like it and am feeling better about the size now - I am not really good at gauging fits at all, especially with oversized items. I think the size down wouldn’t be nearly as comfortable, so I think I’ll keep it as is since you all agree. Thanks, Angie, Suz, slim cat, smittie and kkards!
It is super warm and cozy. It might be a little warm for my climate here (in DFW) too, kellygirl, but I get really cold here when it’s in the 40s or lower after the sun goes down, so I know I’ll be glad for the puff. It seems like it is great quality for the price.
Lisa, I didn’t know this coat had this Park Slope connection, ha! Thanks for the links, JAileen - that article is too funny. I missed out on the Amazon coat last year completely. This one does seem to be more or less the same.
Nuancedream, I like it - PPC!
This jacket will replace my battered and stained mid-length parka, which is fitted and slim. Lesley, I tried some more fitted and streamlined puffers first - North Face Gotham and Acropolis - they were very nice, but I just wasn’t excited about them. This one is much more playful, I think. Though I do have a midi length fitted parka that will have to be pried from my cold dead hands!
