Ask Angie and others: white jeans for me?

You all know with my casual life style I wear lots of jeans
I have 4blue and 4 colored bottoms.
I am wondering about adding white bottom.
But I am unsure. Would it work for my style? Or would it be an orphan?

I don't see why they wouldn't work. Just looking at your tops, do you think their colors would go well with white jeans? As long as you can find some thick and warm enough, I think they're a basic. Are you nervous about wearing a light color on the bottom, or getting them dirty or something I'm not thinking of?

I love my white jeans. The right ones are just as flattering as any other pair of jeans (other than a super super dark wash because you know that dark wash is like crazy flattering in an otherworldly way and other jeans can't be held to that same standard).

White jeans do get dirtier faster than blue jeans, but that just means washing them more often and taking care to wash them quickly if they get spots. I have had mine for a year plus without any problems and wear them often. They are a good way to add some crisp structure to an outfit with a casual vibe.

Ramya, if I can wear white jeans, I bet you can too! Finding the right weight of fabric and ease in fit is the key. Mine are by Paige and I really like them. I just have to wash them after each wear, to K's point.

I carry more visual weight in my bottom half so I avoided white jeans for a long time. Finally I found a pair with good structure that just skim but don't cling and they were not expensive at all. They are total workhorse for me as they seem to go with almost anything and can be worn year round.

You can totally rock them.
Think of your mustard jeans post. It's a color but a light color. White is just another step away.
You might like to review some of the posts of fabbers styling their white jeans for fall. Combining warm and neutral colors with the white might be a kind of "gateway" that feels more natural to you at first. Like that same shirt with white jeans and yummy warm leather colors in belts, bags or footwear and so on. Then of course there are all sorts of spring and summer color combinations to play with.
