Ask Angie: (and others) Theory tux jacket

Could this potentially work for me? Have you seen it on clients in person or tried it on? It has similarities to the Lanai but is collared.

I do not currently own a black jacket of any kind except for my kimono jacket.

It's gorgeous, and the price is great, but "final sale-no returns" make me nervous.

Love the jacket, Suz! I think it would require less "filling out" in the chest and shoulder than the Lanai. It looks a bit more fluid. It has a boxy base, which I like, as long as it hits in the right place.

It's dressy, for could easily work for daytime functions, too.

As for final sale --- can you find it somewhere with a better return policy?

I only wish. It is really hard for me to try on Theory in person. No stores that sell it within hundreds of miles....and this is the last day of the big sale. I am pretty sure of the sizing, however, based on previous experience. But I'm not pulling the trigger without more information, so don't worry! Even if it passes me by now, I can wait. PPP.

It's gorgeous and I think it would work very well with your style. I'd have to be positively positive about the sizing, though, before I'd pull the trigger what with that "no return" deal.

It looks gorgeous, Suz - although I have not seen it on a body so I cannot advise you on size and fit. This style is quite similar to my own Theory Tux jacket - 4 years old. (see below).

I am always nervous about final sale items unless I have tried on the product before and know it will work.
