Ask Angie and others (Ms Mary?): fit on Olivia Moon linen blazer

I ordered the Olivia Moon linen blazer in a small petite, and it's very tight in the arms and across the bust. I'm wondering whether to just to up in petite sizing, or to order in regular sizing, and if so, which size. I normally wear a 4P.

THANKS for any advice (Mary - I think we may be similarly sized, so I'm curious which size your four jackets are!)

I think we are similarly sized, and I had the same problem with the 4P Olivia Moon jacket, although with most other makes, 4P gives me a fluid fit. Early in the season, I think I tried the jacket on in a 2 and 4, but neither fit. The reviews indicate that each color runs differently, but I didn't do in-depth research! Last year's Caslon linen jacket fit me well in a 2/XS regular, but did not fit as well in Petite sizes. This year's Caslon linen jacket is a slightly different cut, and since I don't like the cut as well, I've never tried it on.

Thanks, Donna. Sounds like I may have to try several sizes and it may depend on color.

I would go up to a MP. Linen should not be tight.

Sarah, I ended up buying the medium (regular) in the oatmeal, and it's ever so slightly tight in the shoulders. I am usually a small or extra small in tops. The medium in black was way too big, and the small fit in the shoulders, but was otherwise too shrunken looking. Also, keep an eye out for defects. After wearing it about four times, the fabric next to the seam on the arm developed a one inch tear. I was able to exchange it for a new one, and am considering buying a second just in case.
