These Paige Hoxton Straight Leg jeans came today and they fit great so I’m keeping them. I have to have at least 4 inches hemmed off the length. It’s been ages since I wore straight jeans- where should the hem hit? The find shows them worn full length, but I’m not sure I like that look. Is ankle length acceptable, like the first photo? Maybe my eye just needs to adjust back to a non-skinny silhouette again. Input anyone?

Can we see them on full length with boots before you hack them?

Also, try the '90s WIDE SINGLE cuff. That way you can wear them long and cropped.

Angie- There’s so much extra length that it was hard for me to fold it under neatly, but here is the general idea!

They look great on you at that length! But I think Angie meant a big cuff on the outside! I do that with my straight jeans that are too long sometimes.

May I suggest hemming to regular length and then using the single cuff method to achieve a cropped length? Versatile. Shevia has modeled this perfectly! Thank you

Thanks Angie and Shevia! This is exactly the advice I was looking for. (I understood the cuffing suggestion... I had to fold the excess under to get the visual of hemmed to the proper full length).

p.s. I'm putting in another plug for these jeans, they're a nice even dark wash with minimal whiskering and the material is divine. Rise is perfect for me at about 10". They're Paige's "Transcend fabric" which promises not to bag out. Will see how they hold up over time.

I love the idea of hemming and then cuffing - gives you the versatility, especially while your eyes re-adjust to the non-skinny style.

I do what Shevia does. Below are pics of the same jeans, but styled differently. I prefer to wear them with the deep roll, but in winter, appreciate the ankle coverage!

I'm with Lesley.....I still prefer my straights at the ankle. Full length feels fresh to some but I prefer the visual of shorter pants showing off a boot when it's cold and some skin when it's warm. It looks more interesting to me. I'm not a cuffer so........
