Can you advise about the sizing on this? My local store only has medium (way too big). I can order it online (which I just learned, thanks to Shannon) but the only size available is XXS. According to the size chart that would be too tight at the bust on me. I would probably never wear it closed anyway, but I thought I should check.

My other worry is the arms. It has long arms and mine are short. Of course I'd roll them, mostly, but still....

Angie - would I be XS in the Express as well, do you think? It IS available and apparently can be shipped in Canada.

xxs is about a girl's size 14-16. I'm thinking is probably too small.
It's three sizes down from the M you tried on.

I would guess your size is XS. I would need a small, and I am 6-8 in tops, normally (34D bust).

Shannon, that is SO sweet of you. Do they have XS in the Winnipeg area? The closest one that has in store here is in Toronto, and I'm not going there.

I took my normal size (M) in this jacket, and it fit me perfectly throughout except it's slghtly tight at the very bottom when buttoned because I am so short waisted that it actually hits me at a wider spot below my natural waist. For a normal waisted person this would not be a problem. I don't care though as I don't plan to ever wear it all buttoned up. FWIW, my bust size is 36.5" (34C) which is technically right at the border between M and L, but I think fit through the shoulders is much more important on a jacket and can usually only be determined by trying it on.

The sleeves are very long - they are long even on me and I have gorilla arms. I can turn up the cuff once - like when I did the faux french cuff - and it was still full length.

Suz, the S fit me, which probably means that the XS would be best for you. Beware of the very long sleeves.

I was between S and M on their size charts but went with S and it was the right fit. I'm 32DD. It sounds like XS will be the best size for you. So sweet of Shannon to pick one up for you!

Thanks, Angie. I don't think I can get the Express jacket here, alas. Unless somebody can tell me differently. Shannon, do you happen to know?

The Bay carries SOME of the Express line, but not all, and at my local store they most certainly don't have the jacket. Their website is also one of the worst on the planet, so it is very hard to find out if it's available online, but I'll check. They really only carry a few things from Express and ordering from the US would make it really cost-prohibitive.

Suz, I have both jackets in XS and they fit very similarly, other than sleeves. AE one has long and narrow sleeves that are a bit of pain to roll. Express one had shorter and looser sleeves that look good rolled and stay that way. If you look through my recent WIW about whole week in jeans you can see them both in action. The white one is Expess and light blue one is AE.

Suz, I have the Express in S - the XS looked fabulous, but was too tight across the back of my shoulders, sadly. I think you are probably narrower than I am, and it would fit you well.

Thanks, Tanya and Sarah. My shoulders are actually surprisingly wide for my size, Sarah - 38.5 inches round, sometimes 39. But my bust is super small and while the shoulders are wide they are still delicate - I'm not a true IT. So probably XS is right.

Sarah, that would be great! Thank you! I am pretty convinced I'm going to pull the trigger on this, but it's pricey here in Canada, so I need to think hard about fit.

Suz, we are pretty much body doubles as I remember, and I bought the AE white denim jacket at the mall today. It must be on sale because it rang up $29.70 before taxes but the tag said $49. Anyway the XS fits me well except that I'll need to roll or scrunch the sleeves, but I'd do that anyway. I also have 39" shoulders and long arms. My bra size is 30D. The jacket is soft and more stretchy than any other jean jacket I own.
In your thread with Shannon's blue dress, is the red denim jacket you are wearing a Jolt from Nordstroms? If so I also have that red jacket in size Small for comparison.
I forgot about Express having a white jacket so haven't tried it. Now I'm curious and may try to get to Express before taking off the tags on the AE version.
