I've wondered about this a lot, and it came up again for me when Angie posted those adorable Josef Seibel Mary Janes this morning. Can you wear Mary Janes with socks, particularly if very little of the foot is actually exposed, and the socks are the same color as the shoes?
Wearing shoes without socks (even just indoors) is not practical in many places for much of the year, but I love the look of these shoes and many similar styles. I haven't bought any, though, because I want shoes that I can wear all winter long.
